Life Skills
Practice everyday skills and build confidence for daily life.
At Stages of Life Activity Center, we believe every stage of life brings new opportunities to learn, connect, contribute and grow.
Our focus is not on what a person cannot do. We begin with strengths, interests, abilities and potential—and build from there.
We meet each person where they are and encourage the next step, whether that growth happens through individual guidance, a small group, or shared experiences with the SOL community.
Stages of Life Activity Center creates meaningful opportunities for adults with disabilities through education, socialization, independent living skills, creativity, wellness, self-advocacy and community involvement.
Not just activities—opportunities to discover abilities, build confidence, connect with others and enjoy the day.
Discover strengths. Practice new skills.
Express yourself. Try something new.
Build friendships. Share experiences.
Build confidence and greater independence.
Be seen. Be heard. Be part of the community.
At SOL, growth is personal. We meet each individual where they are, build on what they can do, and create opportunities for the next step—at their pace and in ways that are meaningful to them.
Practice everyday skills and build confidence for daily life.
Express needs, make choices and strengthen your voice.
Explore practical skills, discover abilities and reach new goals.
Build connections, practice communication and enjoy belonging.
Try new ideas, explore talents and express yourself.
Move, contribute and take part in meaningful community experiences.
Some moments call for one-on-one guidance. Others are best experienced in a small group or together with the SOL community. We can adjust activities around an individual’s strengths, interests, abilities and pace—because meaningful progress looks different for every person.
Our day has a comfortable rhythm—time to arrive and connect, opportunities to learn and practice, room to create and move, and time to enjoy being together.
3:00 PM–5:00 PM — additional support after the regular program day for families who need it.
Every day can look a little different. Activities may shift with participant interests, community opportunities and individual needs—that variety is part of the SOL experience.
Every voice has a story. Every story deserves to be heard.
Jam Session for SOL is our conversation space—a place for real stories, family perspectives, advocacy, encouragement and the voices of the SOL community.
